Czech Import 2022: Cita z Orlického panství

December 6, 2022 By John Menneer 1 Comment

Cira z Orlického panství is a 4 year old white female Cesky Fousek we imported from Czechia to support our breeding programme here in New Zealand. Cira landed in New Zealand on the 4th November 2022 and following a 10 day quarantine she is now exploring the New Zealand countryside.

Cira z Orlického panství is a 4 year old white (liver ticked roan) female Cesky Fousek

Cira is a well mannered and calm dog with a soft dense undercoat and coarse topcoat and a nice conformation and lovely gait. Technically, her coat colour would be called liver ticked roan. She has a strong work ethic and ranges nice and wide on the search checking out all the likely cover for game. You’ll always see her using her nose: tracking, winding, scenting as she moves about, and then occasionally stopping to investigate something further. She is a neat dog to observe working. In the water and on the land Cira is a natural and willing retriever of dummies, sticks and game. Cira is a medium sized dog standing 61cm at the shoulder and weighing 27kg. I have three Cesky Fousek and they all get on very well, but the new girl Cira is now the boss of the pack (after me that is). She’s a great family dog and loves children and hanging out with us in the sun on the deck or inside in the evenings.

Over the next few years we look forward to Cira making a valuable contribution to the Cesky Fousek bloodlines in New Zealand, which she compliments well. This is the first white Cesky Fousek that we have introduced to our breeding programme and most of our dogs here are brown so it will be nice to have an increase in the number of white puppies.

We hope to have puppies available from her within the next 6 months. Our dogs are especially suited to hunters with a young family as they enjoy being around children and are relaxed in the home environment. If you’re a keen hunter who can provide a good home with plenty of hunting opportunities for a gun dog, and would like to own a Cesky Fousek, you can register here for a puppy: Register Your Interest In A Puppy.
